Hamas response to be positive
GAZA CITY. September 29. KAZINFORM. Hamas movement said on Monday that its response to the Egyptian initiative for ending the Palestinian split would be positive; Kazinform refers to Arab News.
"Our stance is positive, it depends on reality, a positive response does not mean making concessions, but a real attempt to bring about an agreement," Mahmoud Al-Zahar, a prominent Hamas leader who currently in Cairo said in a statement. He stressed that his movement supports reconciliation and ending the separation between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Meanwhile, two Gaza-based leaders from Hamas, Khalil Al-Haya and Nezar Awadallah, left Gaza via Rafah crossing point for Egypt to join other exiled leaders who will hand over Hamas' response to Omar Suleiman, the Egyptian intelligence Chief. On Sunday, a delegation headed by Chief of Hamas politburo Khaled Meshall arrived to Cairo in order to hand over the Egyptian officials his movement's response on Egypt's initiative for reconciliation; Kazinform cites Arab News.
