Gumilyov ENU signed memo of coop with Romania's Babes-Bolyai University

ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ The Eurasian National Gumilyov University (ENU) has entered into a Memorandum of cooperation with Romania's Babes-Bolyai University, Kazinform refers to the press service of the University.

Under the auspices of the Diplomatic Mission of Kazakhstan in Romania a delegation of the ENU paid a working visit to the Babes-Bolyai University on January 10-14.

A Memorandum of cooperation directed on exchange of students, access to libraries and information resources, opening of the Kazakh language, history and culture centre on the ground of the Romanian University was signed within the visit.

In accordance with the Memorandum, five master's program students of the Eurasian National Gumilyov University will be given grants for studying at the Babes-Bolyai University.

In whole, the visit of the ENU delegation to the Babes-Bolyai University reflects dynamic development of cooperation and gives a new impulse to further development of the bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Romania, the press service of the ENU highlights.

The Babes-Bolyai University was founded in 1872 as a Hungarian university. Since 1919 it has been a large scientific and educational centre of Romania as well as Europe. Over 50, 000 students are studying here to date.
