Guard of Honor and Presidential Orchestra of Kazakhstan to perform at Red Square
MOSCOW. September 5. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ An International Military Music Festival Spasskaya Tower will be staged at the Red Square today. Kazakhstani militaries - Guard of Honor and Presidential Orchestra will take part in it.
The Festival will be held on September 5-10 and will bring together units of the guards of honor on nine countries' presidents and military orchestras.
According to the organizers, the event aims at bringing up civic consciousness, popularization of state symbols and ceremonials, raising the weight and prestige of the army and strengthening cultural ties among the countries. The festival is held in conformity with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's instruction under the auspices of the Moscow Government.
The guests will enjoy performance of more than thousand military musicians. The organizers plan to hold Spasskaya Tower Festival annually, and its repertoire will be formed with consideration of important historical dates of Russia. This year the Festival is dedicated to celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Poltava.
