Great Britain keen to cooperate with Kazakh Ombudsman Office

ASTANA. May 8. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's Human Rights Commissioner Askar Shakirov has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain Dr. Carolyn Browne, the ombudsman's press service reports.
At the meeting, the British diplomat was briefed on the basic activity of the Kazakh Ombudsman Office, interaction with public agencies and civil society.
The sides also discussed the role of the Kazakh Ombudsman in the system of human rights protection.
Dr. Carolyn Browne reiterated Great Britain's intention to continue active cooperation in the sphere of human rights protection within specific joint projects.
