Government will subsidize jobs for people with disabilities - Minister Duissenova

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Government intends to subsidize jobs created specifically for people with disabilities, this has been states today by Tamara Duissenova, Minister of Health and Social Development.

According to the Minister, to date in Kazakhstan live 289 thousand able-bodied persons with disabilities, 100 thousand of who are already working. Most of them work in the private sector. In addition, Tamara Duissenova said that more than 500 people are employed in service centers. Nearly 1,000 persons with disabilities work in territorial centers of social services and medico-social institutions. "Nowadays people with disabilities work as teachers at schools. However, we need to understand that not all disabled persons have adequate level of education and skills," concluded Tamara Dusissenova.
