Government to focus on stimulation of domestic production – new Kazakh PM
Olzhas Bektenov whose nomination for the post of the Kazakh Prime Minister had been approved by the President at the plenary session of the Majilis earlier today, expressed gratitude for support of his candidacy, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In his speech at the plenary session, the newly-appointed Prime Minister vowed to implement the specific tasks given by the Head of State in terms of Kazakhstan’s economic development.
“It is crucial to give a new economic impulse and assume firm and prompt measures with special emphasis on such sectors as industry, oil and other spheres,” Bektenov said.
He also pledged to take measures to stimulate domestic production through increasing the share of goods produced locally. The ultimate goal, according to the new head of the Kazakh Government, is to support domestic business.
Additionally, utmost attention will be paid to the issues of water resources, energy preservation, transport and logistics network, AI and new technologies, rule of law.
Olzhas Bektenov vowed his government will work for the benefit of the entire country.
