Government of Kazakhstan developed support measures for subsidiary husbandries

ASTANA. June 29. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Asylzhan Mamytbekov presented a draft complex of measures for support and development of horticultural subsidiary husbandries for 2011-2014 at the sitting of the Government of Kazakhstan today.

According to him, the share of subsidiary husbandries in gross output of agriculture makes 56,8 percent. 'The state cannot fully rely on subsidiary husbandries. Nevertheless, the state has to provide assistance to such a considerable part of the output,' A. Mamytbekov said.

First of all, the inventory check of the plots must be done, cultivated and abandoned plots have to be counted. In case of a need for expansion of the allocated for subsidiary husbandries lands the akims should have full information about the cultivated and abandoned lands. Then, the housing and municipal services will have to develop a feasibility report and design estimate documentation for creating the infrastructure for new subsidiary husbandries and allocated plots and reconstruction of the existing ones.

Besides, the complex of measures includes reduction of the tariffs for electricity and water for farmers.
