Gorbachev institutes Man Who Changed the World Prize

MOSCOW. February 21. KAZINFORM USSR ex-President Mikhail Gorbachev who on March 2 will celebrate his 80th anniversary, has instituted an international prize named The Man Who Changed the World, the last Soviet leader's aide Pavel Palazhchenko said at a press conference at Itar-Tass on Monday; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
According to him, "people who made unique contribution to the development of modern civilisation, culture, science and technology" - the authors of breakthrough global-scale projects, "will be annually awarded with the Gorbachev prize;" Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
