Germany to develop green economy in southern Kazakhstan

SHYMKENT. June 13. KAZINFORM A delegation from Germany with reps of Promodis energy company visited southern Kazakhstan yesterday.

The company is known for its extensive experience in the sphere of energy conservation. In South Kazakhstan region the German businessmen will play a significant role in a wide range of large projects. In this connection Ontustik Green Energy company has been established in the region with 49% owned by Shymkent Innovation Ltd. and 51% owned by Promodis energy.

The construction of a 100-megawatt photovoltaic station worth KZT 37.5 billion is expected to start in the region this year.

The German investors are also planning to introduce energy-saving technologies in the social sphere. For instance, a solar station will be erected at one of local schools.
