Germany interested in Kazakhstan?s economy diversification plans ? German Ambassador

The meeting was held within the framework of preparation for the 7th sitting of the Kazakh-German Intergovernmental Commission planned for June 22 in Astana. The parties confirmed interests of the two states to continue close cooperation. The German diplomat expressed confidence that the topics proposed for consideration at the Commission?s sitting would be interesting. ?We will be able to discuss development of our cooperation?, he said. B. Sultanov informed the Ambassador of the agenda of the Investors? Council planned for June 12 in Kostanay including the issue of alternative economy funding sources. Mr. Schlageter expressed interest of the German side in the economy diversification plans outlined by the President of Kazakhstan at the ?Nur Otan? Party Congress. The issue of the situation in Kazakhstan?s banking system was discussed at the meeting as well. It will also be included into the agenda of the Intergovernmental Commission.
