Germany hosted Day of Kazakhstan's economy

SCHWERIN. May 17. KAZINFORM In purpose of further Kazakh-German trade economic cooperation the capital and second-largest city of the northern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - Schwerin hosted Day of Kazakhstan's economy.

The forum covered key points of the Kazakh-German economic cooperation including renewable energy, logistics, processing, agrarian and ecological equipment, food industry, healthcare, dual education and tourism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of Deutscher Bundestag Karin Strenz noted long-present trust-based dialogue between the two countries and high potential of the Kazakh-German economic interaction. In addition, she highly appreciated forward-looking policy of the Kazakh leadership, oriented to the strengthening of Kazakhstan's people welfare and clear-cut ascendancy of the country at the international stage.

German participants of the event noted the importance of such meetings and negotiations for the sustainable development of inter-regional cooperation. The German side expressed its intention to increase its presence in the Kazakh market and expand bilateral mutually beneficial contacts between enterprises of the two countries.

Special attention of the German participants was paid to participating in preparations for the Astana International Exhibition EXPO-2017, and the Winter Universiade in Almaty in 2017.

Has substantive agreements in the areas of transfer of new technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the wind energy industry, energy conservation and energy efficiency of buildings and structures, electrical engineering have become a very important achievement of the event.

In general, the event was attended by over 100 representatives of political and business circles of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, including the members of the Bundestag, the staff of government agencies, research and analytical centers, as well as the leadership of German companies specializing in various branches of industry, logistics and transport.
