ASTANA. March 5. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The future of our country depends on the status of women, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it at the meeting with the representatives of women's community in Akorda.
"Your well-being and level of the state is evaluated by the attitude of the country to its women. We attach great significance to it. There exists a special Council for Women's Affairs and Maternity under the President", N. Nazarbayev noted.
He emphasized that last year more than 350,000 mothers received one-time childbirth allowance; 140,000 families got allowance for care of a child under one year. In whole, about KZT 30 billion was allocated for these purposes.
