Frida Giannini makes early exit from Gucci
MILAN. KAZINFORM - The fashion world is abuzz. Creative Director of the Italian fashion brand Gucci Frida Giannini has left the house one month earlier than expected, according to international mass media.
The news was made public today. It is worth noting that Gucci's new CEO, Marco Bizzarri, commenced his new role at the beginning of the year. Giannini's departure was announced back in December, but her abrupt exit generated a buzz in the fashion industry. Giannini joined the brand in 2002 as design director of handbags. In 2006 she was promoted to Creative Director for the entire Gucci label and the iconic Italian fashion house was commercially successful ever since. There was no immediate word from the Gucci's PR team on the reason for Giannini's early exit. And it is still unclear who's going to helm the brand.
