Freezing temperatures to grip Kazakhstan next 3 days
Unsteady weather will persist in Kazakhstan over the next three days, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
Atmospheric fronts driven by another Atlantic cyclone will set the tone in the country on February 8-10.
Wind gusts will reach 23-28, locally 30 m/s with rain and snow predicted to grip the country’s north. Heavy snowfall, blizzards, and freezing temperatures will batter the northern regions. Air temperature will drop to 12-20 degrees Celsius in the west and northwest by February 10.
The Mets issued weather warnings for Akmola, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, and Turkistan regions on February 6-9.
Kostanay region is expected to brace for heavy snowfall, snowstorms, and ice-click today. High wind gusting 23-28m/s will roll through the region on February 9.
Heavy precipitation, mainly snow, snowstorms, and ice-click are forecast to grip North Kazakhstan on February 8-9. High wind gusting 15-20, 23-28, 30m/s and more will sweep through the region.
Pavlodar region is predicted to face heavy snowfall, snowstorms, ice-slick, and high wind of 30 m/s and more.
