The needy can get free hot lunches between 12:00 and 14:00 at a specially equipped food pantry near the regional TB dispensary, which is, according to the city administration, is a place where the homeless gather in great numbers.

The dining area that can seat forty people is warm and light. No one asks to produce documents before offering a salad, soup, fries, bread, pastries and tea. For a weekend, the homeless receive a lunch box.

Balgabek Alezhanov, an engineer of Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant, believes that this action shall be followed by other companies in the region. He says that they give a helping hand to people who have their backs to the wall and despite the crisis, they try to alleviate the life of this vulnerable population group.

The plants' workers are set to continue the charity event with supplying the needy with warm clothes and shoes in wintertime. Those who have lost documents will be provided with legal aid.
