France supports Kazakhstan's initiative on holding OSCE Summit: Pierre Lellouche
VIENNA. May 21. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ "France fully supports the initiative of Kazakhstan on holding the OSCE Summit in Astana in 2010", Secretary of State for European Affairs of France Pierre Lellouche said at the session of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on Thursday, May 20.
The French Diplomat complimented the dynamic promotion of the Corfu Process and emphasized the topicality of the issues of consolidation of international efforts on countering global challenges and threats.
In this context the French Secretary of State highly appraised the role of the OSCE as one of the most important international instruments of security provision. "The work of the Organization in Afghanistan demonstrated that the Organization is able to react on crisis situations quickly and effectively", P.Lellouche said.
