Four police officers shot dead in U.S.
MOSCOW. November 30. KAZINFORM Four police officers were shot dead in an alleged ambush in a coffee house in Washington state, American media said, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
A Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman was quoted by media as saying the officers were sitting in the coffee shop in Pierce County before the start of their shifts, working on their laptops, when a gunman came inside and shot them dead.
Ed Troyer told reporters the shooting, which occurred on Sunday at around 8:00 a.m. local time (00:00 GMT), "was a targeted, selected ambush," as coffee shop employees and other customers inside the shop were unharmed.
According to the spokesman, the officers - three men and one woman - were from the Lakewood Police Department.
