Four new foreign low-cost airlines to enter Kazakhstan's market
Kazakh Transport Vice Minister Talgat Lastayev announced today what new foreign low-cost airlines would operate flights to Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
He said the number of international flights grows year after year. Kazakhstan established regular air service with 31 countries and 58 cities and flies to 199 destinations.
Last year Kazakhstan added 12 new flights to six cities, including Mumbai, Jidda, and Prague, and resumed 10 routes.
The Vice Minister highlighted that Kazakhstan would carry out flights to 16 new destinations, including Rome, Munich, Budapest, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Busan, and others in 2025.
He also noted four new lowcosters SpiceJet (India), Eastar Jet and T’way Air (South Korea), and ThayAirAsia (Thailand), will enter the country’s airline market.
As earlier reported, Air Astana will launch new flights between Almaty and Mumbai on April 20, 2025.
