"I know that Kazakhstan, as part of the former Soviet Union, had a negative experience with nuclear tests and everything connected with it. The country still suffers from long-term effects of these tests. I respect the fact that the country wants to take a responsible approach to its own historical experience and to support global nuclear disarmament", the statement reads.
