Foreign investors to witness missile launch from Baikonur
KYZYLORDA. KAZINFORM The Kyzylorda region will hold the IV Baikonyr investment forum on October 29-30, the local administration's press service said.
Above 300 guests, including 60 investors and businessmen from the US, Turkey, Russia, the Netherlands, Poland, Malaysia, the UAE, Belarus, Tajikistan, Japan and Uzbekistan were invited to attend the event. The forum is held twice a year. 38 memoranda on cooperation were signed so far. One of them is a memo providing for construction of a glass plate plant jointly with Kaveh Glass Industry. The plant project worth USD 52 bln 100 mln is expected to produce about 197,100 tons a year. Besides, 82 Kyzylorda students are studying at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, 25 at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology. Those gathered are expected to sign 11 memoranda at the IV forum and witness the launch of the Soyuz U rocket carrier.
