Foreign and national experts to consider issues of international standards in Astana
ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM Foreign and national experts will discuss the issues concerning international standards in Astana. The issues will be considered in the course of two-day seminar 'Standard ISO 26000. Social Responsibility' scheduled on November, 2; the press-service of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Certification said.
According to the press-service Kazakhstan has become a full member of ISO Council at the XXXII ISO General Assembly held in September whereas Chairman of the Committee on Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade Gabit Mukhambetov was elected as ISO Regional Liaison Officer in Central Asian countries. This is precisely why the seminar will take place in Astana.
"There are different interpretations for social responsibility therefore the standard approved at the international level will help to achieve perspective and understanding of principles and use of social responsibility in practice", - the organizers noted. "The social responsibility is aimed at promotion of stable development and prosperity of society".
