Foreign ambassadors present credentials to Kazakh Secretary of State
ASTANA. November 27. KAZINFORM Ambassadors of Denmark, Uruguay, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Zambia, Nigeria and Fiji have presented their credentials today to Kazakhstan's Secretary of State Marat Tazhin.
The ceremony took place at the Akorda presidential residence in the Kazakh capital where Secretary of State Tazhin received the credentials from nine dignitaries now posted in Astana.
After the ceremony the Secretary of State had bilateral meetings with the foreign diplomats to discuss the state and prospects for development of interstate relations. As Mr. Tazhin said, the development of cooperation in the political, economic, trade, scientific, cultural and other spheres serves the national interests of our countries, especially amid globalization processes. In this connection, the success of diplomacy is determined by the achieved level of interaction.
The sides noted deep mutual interest in expansion of contacts in a wide spectrum of issues, including international and regional security, mutual investments and trade, alternative energy sources and agro-industrial complex, education, science and tourism.
The bilateral meeting in the Akorda residence formed the new vector of Kazakhstan's diplomatic initiatives aimed at closer cooperation in Africa and Latin America - regions with vast development potential.
