Dear Metropolitan Alexander!

I congratulate you and on your behalf all Orthodox Kazakhstanis on Holy Easter!

The Muslims and Orthodox Christians have been living in peace and harmony on the Kazakh land for several centuries, building and caring for our Motherland. Over these centuries our ancestors have developed a unique model of peaceful and fraternal coexistence and mutual respect of cultures and religious traditions.

We, Muslims and Christians, are the citizens of one country. The God foreordained us to live on one land. We must respect holy traditions and rituals of each other, live in friendship and harmony, because we do not have another Motherland.

On this day the Orthodox believers from every corner of the world pray to God asking to send peace, good and wellbeing to all people.

Due to God and policy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev our country succeeds in preserving stability and mutual understanding, calmness and consent.

I wish success to the Russian Orthodox Church in its activity on strengthening spiritual health of our people, upbringing patriotism, consolidation of civil peace and accord.

I wish all Orthodox believers strong health, happiness and joy!

Sincerely yours,
Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Kazakhstan Muslims
and Council of Muftis of Central Asia,
Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan
Sheikh Absattar Kazhy Derbisali
