Football brings our nations together ? British Ambassador to Kazakhstan

ASTANA. May 27. KAZINFORM /Serik Yermakhanov/ On the threshold of a qualifying tournament of the 2010 world championship between Kazakhstan and England the capital?s lyceum #27 has held a football match for children.
The event was held within ?Football for everybody? project organized by the Embassy of Great Britain in Kazakhstan together with the British Council. Teams of the Astana Olympic Reserve School and an orphanage competed at the #27 school?s stadium.
?The oncoming football match between our countries will become a historical event. For the first time Kazakhstan will host this game. To my mind the game will promote development of sport and inter-state relations. We expect around 1500 English fans in Almaty on June 6?, Ambassador of Great Britain to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Paul Brummel said.
