Food prices grew by 4.5% in July 2013 - Statistics Agency
ASTANA. August 1. KAZINFORM Food prices increased by 4.5% in July of this year compared to July last year, according to the press service of the Kazakh Statistics Agency, Kazinform ref ers to primeminister.kz.
In July 2013 compared with the same month of 2012 the price of flour grew by 16.1%, pasta - by 11.4%, fruit and vegetables - by 11.2%, bakery and pastry products - by 4.8%, fish and seafood - by 4.5%, coffee, tea and cocoa - by 4.4%, oils and fats - by 4.2%, alcoholic beverages - by 4%, dairy products - by 3.9%, confectionery products - by 3.4%, bread - by 1.8%.
The prices for cereals decreased by 8,2%, sugar - by 5.2%.
It is also noted that the increase in the prices of meat and meat products during the period amounted to 3%. The prices for sausages grew by 4.2%, mutton - 4%, horse meat - by 3.7%, pork - by 2.8%, poultry - by 2.4%, beef - 2.3%.
