FM: Kazakhstan keen to cooperate with inter'l observers in a constructive way
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan intends to hold transparent and fair presidential elections in accordance with the norms of national legislation and high international standards, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Erlan Idrissov said on Thursday.
"Kazakhstan is also interested in constructive cooperation with international observers that will arrive in Kazakhstan to monitor the 2015 presidential elections scheduled to take place on April 26," Minister Idrissov said at the meeting with members of the OSCE/ODIHR Needs Assessment Mission in Astana. The head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry also talked about social, political and economic situation in the country. In conclusion, Minister Idrissov expressed confidence that the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan will ensure high organizational level of the upcoming elections taking into account recommendations previously made by the OSCE and other international organizations.
