Flood washes away bridge in E Kazakhstan

UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - A bridge was washed away by flood waters in eastern Kazakhstan on Friday, the regional emergencies department says.
The flood situation in the East Kazakhstan region got worse on Friday, May 30. Water level in the Bukhtarma River was rising every hour. As a result, flood waters washed away the bridge linking Uryl and Zhambyl villages in Katon-Karagaisk district. Fortunately, water level subsided by Saturday morning. No new flood-related incidents were reported in the region overnight.
