Flood warning in N Kazakhstan rgn, hundreds of people evacuated

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Flood warning declared in Ualikhanov area of North-Kazakhstan region in connection with the discharge of 78 million 840 thousand cubic meters of water from Seletinskoye reservoir which is situated in Akmola region, according to the press service of the regional Emergency Department.

Regional operational headquarters has been organized in the area. Rescues evacuated 176 people from Karatal village. There have been also evacuated 166 people from the outskirts of Kulykol village to the center of the settlement. All evacuees were placed with their relatives or in a local school. Over the last 24 hours in the North-Kazakhstan region were registered two reports of houses' flooding. Total from April 1st 73 private houses were flooded in the area.
