First Vice PM held conference on housing-utilities sector's modernization - Karaganda
KARAGANDA. April 27. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ First Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev has visited Karaganda region today.
During the visit U. Shukeyev surveyed several facilities in Karaganda implementing the energy saving projects and got familiarized with the project on capital repair of an apartment house realized together with the Kazakhstan Centre of Housing and Utilities Modernization.
After then U. Shukeyev held a conference with the local authorities to discuss the program of housing and utilities sector's modernization and tariff policy issues. The program was presented by Chairman of the Agency for Construction, Housing and Utilities Serik Nokin.
"The problems which are discussed today are quite relevant. As is known, President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave special attention to reforming the housing-utilities sector and providing the population with clean drinking water in his recent address to the nation", Serik Akhmetov, Governor of Karaganda region, said.
The conference was attended by Chairman of the Agency for Natural Monopolies Regulation Nurlan Aldabergenov, Vice Minister of Economic Development and Trade Kuandyk Bishimbayev, deputy akims of the Astana city, Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions and heads of utilities enterprises.
