First round of headquarter negotiations of reps of SCO member state to be held in Almaty

ALMATY. April 6. KAZINFORM First round of staff talks of reps of SCO member states will be held tomorrow in Almaty. Military experts of Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will take part in the negotiations. Issues of preparation and realization of joint anti-terrorist exercise ?Peaceful mission 2010? were discussed, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Defense Ministry.
The exercise is scheduled in September 2010. The agreement on its holding on the territory of Kazakhstan was adopted in June, 2007 in Bishkek and approved in May, 2008.
Within the first round of the negotiations the military experts will get acquainted with the documents on the exercise, worked out by the Kazakh side. The participants will discuss the composition of forces, organization of overall support of the exercises, issues of organization of the SCO member states troops' movement in the area of the exercise.
The first round of the negotiations will last for two days. Protocol, defining further preparatory work is expected to be signed upon the results of the negotiations. The second round of negotiations of military experts of the SCO member states is scheduled in September, 2009 on the territory of Kazakhstan as well.
