First phase of the Beineu-Shymkent gas pipeline planned to be completed in 2013

ALMATY. October 7. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The first phase of the Beineu-Shymkent gas pipeline is planned to be completed in 2013. Kazakh Vice Minister of Oil and Gas Lyazzat Kiinov has announced it at the KIOGE-2010 Forum in Almaty today.
"A project on construction of the Beineu-Shymkent gas pipeline is under development, the first phase of which is planned to be completed in 2013", Lyazzat Kiinov said.
The Vice Minister informed that export of the Kazakh gas will increase by 28 percent this year and make up 9 bln of cubic meters. "At present the Kazakh gas is exported only to Russia. Over eight months of 2010 there was exported 5.7 bln of cubic meters", he noted.
