First Int'l Mining and Metallurgical Congress to be held in Astana
ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ First Kazakhstan International Congress on mineral recourses and metallurgy AMM 2010 will become quite an important event in mining and metallurgical industry which is a prior sector of the economy of Kazakhstan. Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Nurmukhambet Abdibekov said at a press conference today.
Astana Minerals & Metallurgy-AMM 2010 dedicated to the Day of the Kazakh Capital City will be held on June 30 - July 1, 2010 in Astana. The event will bring together the leading players of the mineral recourses and metallurgy markets from Great Britain, China, Russia and other foreign countries. The project is realized under the support of the Kazakh Government and Astana Akimat.
As it was noted that the congress would let attract new investors in order to promote technological and knowledge-intensive service in Kazakhstan industry and strengthen the potential of Astana as a platform for state-business interaction.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev, formerly a professional metallurgist, is expected to visit the AMM 2010.
