First-grade Astana schoolboy secures gold at StemCo Olympiad

Nurlan Nurdaulet, a first-grade pupil of the Astana English School No. 18, took part in the StemCo International Olympiad, securing a gold medal, Kazinform News Agency cites the city’s akimat.

The seven-year-old student successfully passed the first remote stage of the competition, securing his place in the final held in Singapore.

Having started his schooling just one year ago, Nurlan achieved outstanding results in the Mathematics and Science category, surpassing his competitors and taking the first place.

Fourth-grade pupil Zere Akbolat, who represented Kazakhstan in the Natural Science category, won a bronze medal.

As earlier reported, another ninth-grade schoolboy from Astana has secured a win at the Copernicus Olympiad. The Copernicus Olympiad, an international competition attended by hundreds of gifted students from around the world, featured competitions in various subjects, including physics, chemistry, biology, and geography.
