First Gitmo detainee arrives in US

WASHINGTON. June 10. KAZINFORM US authorities have brought the first Guantanamo Bay detainee to the US to stand trial in connection to the 1998 bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the Justice Department announced yesterday; Kazinform refers to the Arab News.
Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, a Tanzanian held at Guantanamo Bay since September 2006, arrived early yesterday in New York to face criminal charges; Kazinform cites the Arab News.
