First day of Ramadan to fall on March 1, 2025
The Sharia and Fatwa Department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan approved the calendar of religious days for 2025, Kazinform News Agency cites muftyat.kz.
Next year the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on March 1. The night of Laylat al-Qadr will fall on the night of March 26 to March 27.
Eid al-Fitr known as Oraza Ait will be celebrated on March 30, while Eid al-Adha or Kurban Ait will be observed between June 6 and 8.
Fatwa experts warn that exact days of religious holidays may be observed one day earlier or later depending on the sighting of the new moon.
As earlier reported, Muslim Council of Elders took part in the 22nd session of the General Secretariat of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders Congress.
