First Boeing 747 from US lands in Kazakhstan’s Aktau int’l airport
AKTAU. June 3. KAZINFORM - American airliner Boeing 747 for the first time came down in Aktau International Airport after it has committed a transcontinental flight from the United States.
A double-deck wide-body cargo aircraft for the first time carried out the direct flight across two continents and the ocean from Chicago to Aktau. Air freighter delivered refrigeration equipment to Aktau for one of the region’s companies.
"Aktau international airport has significantly expanded the scope of the provided services. Loading and unloading of long haul aircraft type became possible by virtue of a loader purchase. The lifting capacity is 35 tons and the cost is about USD 1 million. Owing to this machine maintaining transcontinental aircrafts we can talk about the Aktau airport full service capacity implementation”, said Valeriy Sizonenko, Aktau International airport Operating Manager.
