First A/H1N1 flu case revealed in N-Kazakhstan Oblast

PETROPAVLOVSK. August 6. KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Mayor of North-Kazakhstan Oblast Serik Bilyalov held session yesterday on A/H1N1 flu situation and measures preventing its spread in the region; Kazinform reports citing press-service of Akimat.

The Head of the Region noted that the situation on swine flu is accentuated in most countries and at present over 188 flu cases were registered all over the world including 1 265 of deaths.

Director of the sanitary-epidemiological surveillance Committee Department for North-Kazakhstan Oblast Kairgali Isseneyev noted that three teenagers arrived in Petropavlovsk from their language training in the UK on August 3. One of them addressed to the city hospital where he was surveyed. Today his analysis showed presence of Influenza A/H1N1 virus.

The state of the patient is satisfactory at present. All the contacted people have been surveyed and taken under control.

Closing the session the Head of the Region assured attendees that the situation was taken under control and there are no any reasons for panic.
