Fireman from Kazakhstan wins cycling race in Iran

UST-KAMENOGORSK. June 7. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ 'Fireman from East Kazakhstan region Alexey Lyalko became a winner of an international cycling race in Iran and joined the national team of Kazakhstan, the emergency situations department of the region informs.

The participants from Germany, Turkey, Japan, Italy, Spain, Austria and Central Asia took part in the race that ran through six cities of one of the regions of Iran. The distance of the race was 164 kilometers.

According to Alexey, it was the biggest race in his life so far. 'I was confident about my level of preparedness. Though, I did not expect to be a leader,' he noted.

As judges say the results of the Kazakhstanis is quite astounding - his time was the best among 100 participants.
