Fire traps, kills elderly man in summer cottage in Astana

ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM An elderly man did not manage to escape when a fire engulfed the roof of a summer cottage, causing it to collapse. The accident happened in Yessil district in Astana on Sunday evening (January 13), the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies reported.
The fire was stifled in four hours by the regional emergencies department and covered an area of 60 square meters. The elderly victim's body was discovered in the debris.
