Finance Ministry to prepare conception project on adoption of overall income declaration
ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ Kazakh Ministry of Finance must prepare conception project on adoption of overall income declaration by March 1, 2010; Prime Minister Karim Massimov has given such an instruction to the Ministry today at the meeting of the board.
"In developed countries 60% of tax revenues are provided by individuals whereas physical persons in our country provide only about 10% of tax revenues. In regard to this issue we must study foreign experience and the world's best practice", K. Massimov said.
He stressed that the individual tax assessment in the country is one of the lowest in the world. Though every citizen must pay taxes the practice shows that the situation is different. One of the problems is the taxation for individual market salesmen.
The Premier thinks it is necessary to study two issues as the system of general income declaration and the issue on non-recurrent market coupons.
The work on introduction of fiscal measures must be completed by January 1, 2013.
