Films and sport tightly connected - M. Dacascos

ALMATY. February 2. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilinskaya/ I am very glad to be in Kazakhstan now, at a very special time of the Asian Games being held in this country. American actor Mark Dacascos said it at a press conference held within 'Kinoaziada - 2011' Festival in Almaty today. The actor starred in Kazakhstan's blockbuster 'Nomad'.

According to him he knows very well that films and sport are tightly connected. M. Dacascos started his actor career after he had been going in for sport for a long time. Therefore he watches sports competitions and spends much time for trainings. 'My parents are Kung fu coaches. I have been doing this kind of martial arts since I was 4 years old. Besides, I practice the other martial arts. I am a Hawaiian so I love surfing. I have already doing yoga for 17 years', he said.

M. Dacascos confessed that he loved to watch ski jumping most among all winter sports. 'I like it because it is a very exciting and spectacular sport', he said adding that he also liked figure skating.

The actor also noted that he was happy to visit Kazakhstan again being a guest and a participant of the Asian Games-2011.
