Astronauts aboard the ISS recreated a 2019 experiment using the official adidas 2026 FIFA World Cup ball, Trionda, to explore how balance, weight distribution and embedded technologies can affect a football’s performance.

According to NASA, the experiment examined how factors such as a ball’s center of mass, overall balance and built-in match sensors influence its movement and behavior during play.

Footage shared on NASA’s official Instagram account showed astronauts playing with the World Cup ball in zero gravity aboard the ISS.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that NASA recently announced the four-member crew for the Artemis III mission, a key milestone in the agency’s plans to return humans to the Moon and prepare for future missions to Mars.
