Mazhit BEGALIN(1922-1978) was born in Abai district in Semipalatinsk region (East Kazakhstan region). He was a graduate of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography. Between 1950 and 1978 he was the director at the Kazakhfilm Film Studio.
