Extended meeting of the Kazakh Government kicks off

The extended meeting of the Kazakh Government under the chairmanship of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev started its works, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Those present are expected to debate the results of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan in 2023 and outline the key tasks for the period ahead.

Notably, a new Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Beketenov was appointed yesterday. Besides, five ministers joined the Cabinet. Nurlan Baibazarov was named the new Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy, and Chingis Arinov was appointed the Emergency Situations Minister. Senator Akmaral Alnazarova was appointed the Healthcare Minister, and Madi Takiyev the Finance Minister. The rest members of the Government retained their positions.
