EXPO town in Astana to be transformed into financial center

"Right now we are constructing a huge EXPO town in the Kazakh capital. After the EXPO event, its facilities can be used for the new financial center. Perhaps, we will headquarter the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan there," President Nazarbayev said at the extended session of the Government on Tuesday. "Functioning of the financial center will be based on Dubai's best practices. I have had a talk with emir of Dubai and our delegation has already visited the UAE. We will adopt their extensive experience. Our center will have its own legislation," the Kazakh leader added.
