Expo Shanghai-2010: June 5 - National Day of Kazakhstan Pavilion
SHANGHAI. June 5. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Shanghai has announced June 5, 2010 the National Day of Kazakhstan Pavilion at EXPO-2010 world exhibition.
Official opening ceremony of the Day of Kazakhstan Pavilion started with hoisting the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Taking the floor Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev welcomed the representatives of the Chinese State Council on behalf of the Kazakh Government.
According to Mr. Kurishbayev today Shanghai is a center of world exposition industry due to which it could gather a record number of the countries and international organizations at Expo Shanghai-2010. Kazakhstan has been participating in world expositions since 2000. This year Kazakhstan's participation in the event is notable for presentation of a large-scale project "Astana - heart of Eurasia".
"Today due to its open policy Kazakhstan successfully integrates into the global economy. Thus, in accordance with the data provided by the World Bank Kazakhstan has joined 20 countries of the globe which are attractive for investments", the Minister said.
At present the Government of Kazakhstan carries out preparatory work for nominating Astana for the right to host the EXPO-2017.
"In this view Kazakhstan is interested in China's experience in holding such events. Today we witness the most grandiose exhibition - Expo Shanghai 2010", Kurishbayev noted.
On the second half of the day the attendees will be able to make an excursion around the Kazakh Pavilion. Festive events of the National Day of Kazakhstan Pavilion will end with a gala concert with the participation of famous singers and creative teams of the republic.
