EXPO-city construction in Astana set for early 2014

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM On Thursday, Astana mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov confirmed that the construction of the EXPO-city in Astana was scheduled for 2014.
"We have already announced the international contest for the best EXPO-city project. The design will be approved by the International Exhibition Bureau (IEB) in October 2013; the start of the construction works is planned for early 2014," I. Tasmagambetov explained.
The mayor reminded of a 124 ha land plot allotted for the EXPO-city in the southern part of the Kazakh capital.
