EXPO 2017 presented in Turkey
ISTAMBUL. January 9. KAZINFORM The industrially developed Turkey's Kocaeli province under the auspices of the Kazakh Embassy to Turkey played a host to an international presentation of the world EXPO 2017 exhibition.
Among those attending there were reps of the Turkish state authorities, deputies of the Turkish Parliament, reps of business, socio-political and academic circles and foreign participants. Addressing the opening ceremony Kazakh Ambassador Tuimebayev briefed on the country's foreign policy initiatives: Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship in 2010, OIC presidency in 2011, the Turkic Council, initiated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and dwelt upon the victory of Astana to hold the EXPO 2017 exhibition. He also called on Turkish and foreign investors to take an active part in the large investment projects of Kazakhstan, such as, the EXPO 2017 and Universiade 2017.
The event participants agreed that all the ambitious goals and priorities set by Kazakhstan in the green economy transition concept meet all the current worldwide trends in renewable energies. As stated there, successful holding of the EXPO 2017 exhibition in Astana and fulfillment of the Green Bridge program would be Kazakhstan's great contribution to the global process of alternative energy sources and environmental protection development.
