EXPO-2017 in Astana to be the next step in Kazakhstan's modernization: G. Schröder
ASTANA. November 24. KAZINFORM Former Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schröder sent President Nursultan Nazarbayev a letter of congratulations on the occasion of Astana's win of the right to host the international exhibition EXPO-2017, Kazinform has learnt from the Presidential press service.
G. Schröder notes it was really exciting to hear the news that Astana will play the host to the renowned EXPO event.
"As the Chancellor of Germany I was honored to be a part of EXPO-2000 in Hannover. This international exhibition greatly contributed to the strengthening of Germany's international image. And that is why I am confident the international exhibition in Astana in 2017 will be the next step towards modernization of your country," G. Schröder's letter reads.
The ex-Chancellor of Germany also wished Nursultan Nazarbayev and the whole country success in preparation for such significant event.
