EXPO-2017 hosting to contribute to Astana's prosperity
ASTANA. July 5. KAZINFORM "Today Astana city is associated with hosting of the International Exhibition EXPO-2017," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has stated today speaking at the solemn session dedicated to the 15thanniversary of Astana city at the "Astana Opera" State Opera and Ballet Theater.
The preparation for this event with the participation of more than 150 world countries is underway. It was decided to build an entire city block, which will be provided solely by alternative energy," Nursultan Nazarbayev stated.
According to the President, the light rail transport network will be built, the tallest building in the entire region of Central Asia - the 80-storey complex "Abu Dhabi Plaza" will also be constructed.
"This is a great responsibility for our country. But at the same time it is a chance for a Astana to become more attractive. I believe that Astana will pass this exam excellently," the President announced.
